Buona Pasqua - Happy Easter Sunday to all my Family and Friends

On the way to the Cottage for a Family Feast as I mentioned.  With the accident I had - I will not be doing our Easter Lamb Feast this year.  We are going to the cottage and sister and brother-in-law are hosting.

We are a saddened bunch this year with the passing of my mother-in-law's brother yesterday in Italy.  He now rests with his wife Catarina and his beautiful son Luigi.  We are all so very sorry for this great loss.

Well we will all reflect around our table with the family, about how fortunate we are and blessed.  Life really is great, regardless of the ups and downs, and there are many many downs I assure you.

Today I will only be advising you of how to make my famous cole slaw, since unfortunately that is what I am bringing.  Can't make my cabbage rolls (which I will fill you in on at a later date) because unable to do anything with this leg situation.

Happy Easter to you and your families, count your blessings because no matter what life brings you - things could always be worse.   :)

Two heads of cabbage one green and one purple
6 carrots
6 green onions
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup mayo (light or regular)
pepper

Shred cabbage and carrots
slice up green onions
mix together and pour in all the rest of the ingredients

mix together, salad should be creamy but not saturated.  This is delisiouso and my beautiful family love it - especially the Nonna - she lova dis ensalada (not typical ensalada - please don't get confused) you don't need to serve ensalada if you have this cole slaw (LOL)  -

We will also bring the bread to share with the family - a cake for Anth's birthday with pink writing and gifts for our beautiful Great Nephew and a lovely plant (flowers) for our host - oh ya and don't forget the WINE - this to me is the most important, sometimes you just need the wine to make it through a day with the family.  (hahah) - just kidding.
