Pan Seared Cajun catfish Fillets

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs oil or genourous amount
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper                                                 
  • 1tsp of cajun spice
  • 1/2 tsp of cayennes
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika (smoked)
  •  catfish filets                                                 

How to make it

  • thaw and dry off filets
  • dry rub one side of filets with salt, pepper, cajun spice. garlic powder, and smoked paprika
  • place spiced side down onto pan
  • follow step number 2 for alternate side.
  • cook about 3-5 minutes on each side depending on thickness of fish
  • lightly dust with cayenne before serving. ( do not want to cook cayenne in hot oil, may need a gas mask! )
  • enjoy!
